I need to use a font that's not one of the currently loaded fonts that VS x3 recognizes. I don't know if the available fonts come with VS x3 or if they are part of Windows, but either way, I need to use a font called "Helvetica Neue LT STD 77." Assuming I acquire the font data, how do I get VS x3 to recognize it?
Thanks for the help!

Re: Loading a new font
It just recognizes whatever is in your Windows font directory. Put your new font there and VS will "see" it.

Re: Loading a new font
Hmm... I got the font from our graphics department and loaded it onto my computer. I can now see it in the Windows > Fonts folder but it is not available from VS x3. I've rebooted the computer and closed-down/re-opened VS x3... any other suggestions?Black Lab wrote:It just recognizes whatever is in your Windows font directory. Re: Loading a new font
Is it a True Type font? Does it show in the Windows Directory with a TT icon, or with something else?

Re: Loading a new font
None of the fonts in my C: > Windows > Fonts folder are identified with any icons, TT or otherwise. This computer has the 64-bit version of Windows 7... Is there any other location where fonts might be installed? Does VideoStudio recognize only TrueType fonts?Ken Berry wrote:Is it a True Type font? Re: Loading a new font
I have exactly the same issue with VSX3 on my WIN7 64 bit.
I have loaded a large number of fonts that I have found from the freebies section and other locations but they do not all show up in VS.
They do however show up in other apps that refer back to the Windows Font folder.
I haven't tried to trouble shoot this too much yet as I have just been changing to a similar font when the one I'm after does not show up.
I use the Font Viewer program that mitchell65 told me about to preview the font as the examples in VS are too small and not accurate.
All fonts show up in the Font Viewer but only about 70% of them in VS.
