Express won't import from computer

Post by lgmayka »

I have .MP4 files in folder Z:\Camcorder . I can import them into Pro X3, but that program is very cumbersome for simple purposes. So I thought I'd try Express 2010...

To my amazement, Express doesn't know how to import files! I click on Import Computer, check the box for Z:\Camcorder, press the Start button, and...Nothing! No folder, no media contents.

So what I am doing wrong? Is Express this much harder to work with than Pro?

• Type a folder name to create a new folder.
5. Enable To device and choose a drive to burn your captured video directly on a disc.
6. Choose between Automatic and Manual to determine your capturing preference.
7. Click the Find Scenes button to scan the video and create scene indexes.
8. Click the Settings tab and modify any of the following settings: Video Format, Aspect Ratio, or Quality.
9. In the preview area, do any of the following:
• To import the entire tape, from beginning to end, mark the Capture full tape check box.
• To import all content in the import window, mark the Select All check box above the preview area.
10. Click Start capture.

To import video from a camcorder that records DVD / MPEG2 / MPEG4 / AVCHD to a hard disk, memory card, or disc
