Adding time/date post capture - VS9

Post by artgar »

Hi, I am capturing/editing/burning ok in VS9, but I want to be able to add a time-stamp to some of my clips. The date/time settings are displayed in the information section during capture, but I would like to put these in at various points of the final cut. I can't seem to find an option to do this. Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks.

Hi,

Let your mouse cursor hover over the video clip thumbnail in the library,
it will display shooting timestamp (for DV files) note it down
Then, using the Titles function, add that at the desired place and for the desired duration on the timeline clip.

OR - if you go to "File >> Preferences" then under the "General" tab put a tick in the box next to "Display DV Code on Preview Window" then click OK the date and time of shooting will be shown in the preview window while playing DV (.avi) video - again note it down and use the 'Title' function to create a small text title that you can position anywhere on the screen.
