I use VideoStudio 6 SE DVD (bundled with PC Card) on PC with XP Pro (SP2), P4, 3GHz, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB free space on HDD. VS6 with all patches and updates.
I'm usually capturing from a minidv camcorder (Sony DCR PC 330E or Canon MV3) to DV format via IEEE 1394 for edit and create DVD - any problem.
If I choose capturing format MPEG directly, process is immediately terminated with message:
„Unable to capture the NTSC MPEG file from PAL DV Cam“
„Can not set MPEG parameters error“
„Capturing failed“
Message is same for any choice in MPEG settings in Capture Options. I tested with different settings of bitrate, VBR or CBR, termination is same, format (PAL) is allways identical.
I create project with PAL properties allways.
Any idea for solution?
Thanks,
Kedar
Interest: this function was OK at previous installation OS (Windows XP Pro without SP2)!
