Installing Animator into PhotoImpact

Post by raejohn »

Hi there once again, I have downloaded AnyGif5 from a free download.I was told to make a shortcut on the desktop and to put the folder of extracted files into C drive in Corel Program area. Are there any instructions on how to instal and use it.
I have never made any animations before so would like some beginners advice. I do not invisage that I will be doing heaps of it as I believe they take up a lot of space etc.

A friend has made an animated signature for me to use with my VS movies - it was sent as a gif. but I don't know how to go about converting the animation or adding to VS. Can you give me some easy tip for doing this. I have photo impact X3 - the version which did not include it!!
Thanks Rae

Since your post is dealing with an animated GIF program, which I believe is not the one that Ulead or Corel produced, I copied it to our GIF Animator & Web Utilities forum. http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 46#p207046

Viking Animations is our expert on Ulead's GIF Animator 5 program, which was dropped by Corel. However I don't think that if you're using another animation program that he would be able to help you with it.

Hi Ron, Thanks for referring my problem to your experts. The download came from http:\\www.4shared.com/file/kHgugEkF/GA online.html and was recommended to me. There are others available on trial sites but I did read that the ULead one which used to be included with Photo Impact has a trial one but you are unable to buy it after the trial - that has been the complaint, they are no longer going to sell it. There is a trial version also with Cnet and then you can purchase for around $20. I thought they would all be much the same! I will wait in hope that your expert may be able to advise me further. It does not make any difference to me which one I use - just as long as it is not too difficult. Thanks again, Rae
Hi I had a look at both downloads the one on the cnet which is the ULead that you mentioned and the one which I have installed and they both appear to be the same (although I am certainly no expert). The instalation instructions are as I did but I just don't know where to go from there and there don't seem to be many basic tutorials about. Rae

I think you're correct, that you can not purchase GIF Animator 5 any longer. I overlooked the part that the download would be for a trial version. It's a shame that Corel doesn't release it so that some other interested company could pick it up, or maybe to the free open-source GNU.
