Jerky Video

Post by Splank »

I've recently installed Video Studio 9. So far I'm very pleased with the program but find I've a few basic questions. First off, can anyone recommend a book or article about editing software which may help me answer some of my own questions? Such as; I edited my first piece which was about 2 minutes. When I went to play it back it had quite a lot of drop outs and was pretty jerky. I rendered it and saved it as an mpg and it still had the drop outs. When I was assembling the various cuts I didn't see any indication of drop outs. I'm using Windows XP, Pentium III,
Thanks in advance.

Getting Results seems to be a good series. I've read the one for Media Studio Pro and there are a lot of features I found in it that were not mentioned in the manual.

If you got to Preferences and go to the Capture tab there is an option to show drop information.
