Export setting for Apple TV?

Post by PeterG »

Hello,

I have VS Pro X3.

I've also purchased the Apple TV G2.

I can't find the proper export format for viewing my videos on Apple TV.

Any ideas? Is there a codec I need to download or ?

Thanks!

Apple TV formats are listed here. (You shouldn't need any 3rd-party CODECs or converts, assuming Video Studio can handle whatever format you're feeding into it.)

P.S.
If you're just converting files and not doing any editing, "everybody" uses Handbrake (FREE!!!) to convert files for their iPod

Thanks Doug,

I'm trying to strike a good balance for viewing my videos using Apple TV on our 42" LCD TV. I have used HandBrake for converting other videos for viewing on my iPhone. However, I do edit most of my videos so exporting a finished product from VS is the norm. I need to experiment with the various formats and see what will give me the best results. Hoping that VS had an optimal setting for exporting to Apple TV like they do for iPod etc, but that doesn't show in the Share options.
