I was viewing some videos that were very impressive slo-mo, made with the "twixtor" plugin, I see that it is not supported for VS, but I was wondering if there was a similar package or method to get the same effect?

Not sure what the "twixtor" plug-in does, but VS is certainly capable of slo-mo.

not sure exactly, but I think it's a lot more complex than regular "slo-mo", in that it adds frames or something like that.
A quick google brought this up: "Twixtor changes speeds and frame rates of clips by a process of interpolation and warping of frames from the original sequence", entire write up is here

You may want to try NewBlue. They seem to have a wide range of plug-ins that do work with VS.
