Project doesn't play smoothly after re-linking
I made a complex video clip from .avi files with Corel Videostudio Pro X3, I saved the project then moved my original files to different folder. After some time I decided I want to edit my video again and re-linked the files successfully but now when I try to play my project in edit mode it doesn't play smoothly, it stops and delays. I can't edit in such conditions because I can't preview my work... Before moving my files everything was fine. No changes were made to my computer... Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

You tell us nothing about your project or the types of clips they contain. Without that info it's only a guess. Please read the following and supply the requested info.

Re: Project doesn't play smoothly after re-linking
Hello MissBlossom,
I'm from Corel Support. There are many reasons why this happens.. though you did not change any settings on your VideoStudio software as well as with your videos, conflicting software such as codecs can cause the issue. If you have installed codec pack like K-lite can cause this issue. You may want to uninstall the k-lite codec pack then just install the codec from their respective creator, like QuickTime, Real Player, DIVX, XVID etc.
I'll try to look up more information regarding your issue, to properly resolve this.

Hi MissBlossom
Welcome to the forum
If your files are HD files then you are most likely using Smart Proxy.
The proxy files will have been created automatically.
When you move the files you probably lost the links to the proxy files.
These will need creating manually.
Right click a clip in the timeline, use Shift + Click to select the first and last, then select Create Proxy Files.
This may take some time, be patient.
View the Proxy Queue and File Manager to view the progress.
