file size drop
i am wondering if anybody knows why the x3 program reduces my file size by approximately 75% every time i make a new edit on an image, even if i only adjust the contrast and brightness it may take a 5mb image down to a1.5mb image. any know if i can stop the drastic change?

Re: file size drop
Are you doing Save or Save As?
Check your optimization settings. Go to File->export->JPG Optimizer and check the compression settings. It sounds like it's set to small size as opposed to best quality.

Re: file size drop
When you do a 'Save As' look at the Compression Factor under 'Options'.
Then select the 'Run Optimizer' button.
Here you can vary the Compresion Factor and see the resultant File Size.
If you reduce this to about 5 or so, it will show how your File Size will increase
to something like your original JPEG size. (Leve the Chroma subsampling as 'none').
Once you have chosen a satisfactory Compression Factor,
use this for the next Save As, and this will always be used for subsequent Save As actions.
