Windvd 9 plus stutter badly with HDDVD

Have not use the old version for a while but pick up some HDDVD lately so dig it out again.

Although I have other HDDVD software players but I found Windvd 9 the best in many ways.

1) All special features like PIP and popup info actually works
2) The only player with no pause in layer change
3) PQ is simply the best

I have my pc connect to 3 displays. VGA to LCD monitor (60Hz), DVI to 720p DLP projector (60Hz) and hdmi to 1080p projector (24 or 60Hz) through a Sony hdmi receiver.

First 2 displays with direct connections are fine. Only the third display passing through hdmi receiver creates stutter problem no matter what frequency I set. It is like the video playing smoothly for a minute then stutter badly for another 15 seconds then back to smooth...stutter...smooth...

Other players only show micro stutter every once in a while unlike Windvd 9. I found bluray stutter less but still exist in Windvd 9.

Is this a known bug passing through hdmi receiver causing stutter or something else? I understand Windvd 9 will not get another update but just want to know if there is a fix or I am stuck. I can get pretty smooth playback from other software players (but with their own issues) so my pc should not be blamed. I just want to find one capable HDDVD player and keep it. Too bad if I really have to give it up as this is about the best HDDVD player I can find but one critical issue of stutter ruins it all.

I am running 9.0 DXVA B14.145, C2D 2.66GHz, 8600GS and Xonar Slim.

I'm from Corel Support and can you tell me the version of Windows that you are using and if you have updated your WinDVD 9?

Thanks a lot. I am running Vista Home Premium 32bit and Windvd 9.0 DXVA B14.145. I believe it is the latest update. I have tried reintall from oldest and update one version at a time. I got black screen all the way up to 132 if passing through Sony hdmi receiver. Only till 137 did picture come back but stutter badly with HDDVD. Update 145 is just the same.

One other issue is that starting from update 132 HDDVD will hang if changing to TrueHD soundtrack. Earlier versions work fine. Later versions become silence. Lucky all HDDVD come with DD+ soundtrack so I can somehow work around with this problem.

I read that 132 is the better version and somehow I ran the update inside the program and it search and download an update. I click install and nothing happen but now when I check the version it is 132. I got picture and TrueHD sound (stereo only), but still with the same stutter, frames skip problem.

I regret but probably have to give up trying as I can't even watch 1 minutes of HDDVD with it.
