PSP ProX3 Installation Issue

Post by jrhaas »

I purchased PSP ProX3 today (retail) I have been trying all day to install with no luck, it gets to a certain point and locks my laptop up.
I get through the:
Agree to terms,
Choose PaintShop Photo Pro X3 to install
I enter the serial number and it loads so far and locks up

I have spent over 4 hours to try to load this and am really frustrated!

Any suggestions? :?:

Hello jrhaas,

I'm Abiel from Corel Support. If you are having difficulty in installing the program, here are some suggestion that can help you.

First you may want to manually removed the incomplete PSP X3 by following the step from this link.

After removing all the incompletely installed files, you can reinstall the program by temporarily disabling your anti-virus and firewall. That should do that trick. But if the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us by using the number posted on this page.

I had already tried what you had suggested, spent 4 hours trying to install. Do I need to go through Corel to return this CD or can I return this directly to the store purchased from? I am not sure since it is software...

Corel's return policy states that you can only return a CD to Corel if you bought it from Corel.
Corel only accepts returns on software purchased from Corel directly, either from our E-Store or via our Customer Service Centres. For software not purchased from Corel (local retailer, reseller, contractor, mail order, internet electronic reseller and others), please follow the Return Policy of the vendor you purchased from.
So I hope the place you bought it from has a good return policy. Last time I tried to return software to a retailer they would only allow me to exchange it for the exact same software. I couldn't get credit or exchange for similarly priced software.

Have you tried contacting Corel Support directly? Live chat or a real phone conversation can really be a help sometimes with installation.
