Hello,
Upon Make Movie File step, choosing the DVD PAL 16X9, I have been suggested to defrag the file. When I have accepted this suggestion I had synch problem in the rended file. I have tried again to make the video file, but this time without defragging the file and the rended file got out good without the synch problem.
Could it be that the defrag process cause the synch problem?
Thank you,
Abraham

No don't think so, as your computer's defragmentation software is not going to have anything to do with the process of muxing video and audio. The OOS issue is just one hazard that you may experience some of the times. In fact keeping your system cleaned up, should help your video editing programs run more smoothly.

Re: Synch problem in Pro x3
Thank you Ron,
As a matter of fact, I am not dealing with my computer's defragmentation software, but only with the Pro x3 program. At the Share step when I click the "Create Movie File" and choose the DVD PAL 16X9. an Optimizer MPEG window is opened and I suggested to optimal project setting profile by re-encoded segment(s), which I understand that this is actually defrag. I don't sure if I need to accept it, I understand that this is a matter of just saving time.
Anyway, to keep my system cleaned up is a good idea and I am going to do it.
Thanks again,
Abraham

Re: Synch problem in Pro x3
The MPEG Optimizer screen resembles that of a defrag program, however it is just displaying the portions of your file(s) in your project that will need to be recoded and those that will not. It's basically a glorified Smart Render.
It's been sometime since VS has OOS issues with Standard Def MPEG-2 files. What Project Settings are you using and what are the properties of your video clip(s)?

Re: Synch problem in Pro x3
My camcorder sony DCR-SR62 has an hard disk drive, so my video clips are mpeg. After capturing to the pro x3 program, the storyboard (or the timeline) contains mpeg-2 clips. On the create movie file step, I choose to render it to DVD-PAL 16X9 type, and the rendered file is also mpeg-2 type. Before the pro x3 program I was using the ulead vs 10+ for several years and never had synch problems.
By the way, what is OOS?
