Re: VideoStudio Crash when I try to edit
It's my understanding that it is not just QT 7.6.6, but any newer version. General advice is to roll back to an older version of QT.

Re: VideoStudio Crash when I try to edit
This is very interesting. I loaded a .mov file from my iphone and found a similar edit crash problem on Video Studio 11plus. So I thought I needed an upgrade and went to Pro X3 but found it did the same thing. I loaded a .mov file from my Canon 5D and it works properly. I wonder what the difference is between .mov files? I hope you find a fix or converter for this little issue. I'll be watching.

Re: VideoStudio Crash when I try to edit
I have also had crashes when I try to work with video from cell phones. (Some new cell phones actually shoot 720p HD, and I have a need to work with such clips.) I looked online for free software to convert video files and found something called MPEGStream (or something close to that). Now, I use the conversion software to convert the files to AVI format and I can edit those with no problem. It's a bit of a hassle to have to spend time converting the files, but a 30-second file is converted in a couple of minutes.

SUPER is another free converter that seems to work well.

Re: VideoStudio Crash when I try to edit
I don't know exactly what format video you are trying to edit when VS crashes on you. If it is something other than the usual format that you work with, I strongly recommend that you get some video conversion software and convert the problem video to something more universal, such as AVI. I use a program called MPEG Streamclip, which I downloaded for free. It's not perfect but it can generally convert oddball video formats to AVI, and I can then usually edit the AVI file with no further problems.
Hope that helps!
