Hi,
I am brand new to this forum. I have been putting together a DVD on a friend's computer using his Videostudio Pro 3. Everything went brilliantly until it came to actually produce the DVD using DVD Factory 2010. As with many other people on this forum, it kept on crashing during burning.
I have now had to leave for China and have taken all the files with me. I am thinking of buying DVD Movie Factory Pro 7 so that I can get on and produce this DVD which I urgently need. However, I can't seem to see if it has a couple of the features that I really liked about Movie Factory 2010...i.e. editable menus, able to put own photos and music onto menus, and (but you may not be able to answer this) accepts Chinese characters in the menu titles. I found the whole interface really good.
Best regards
Sarah

Hello redsunset,
I'm Abiel from Corel Support. If you bought VideoStudio Pro X3 and it is registered then you can download a slim down version of the DVD Movie Factory 7 Pro which is the DVD Movie Factory 7 Se. You can download it by downloading all available patch from this link.
Hope that helps.

Re: DVD Movie Factory Pro 7 features vs DVD Factory 2010
Thank you for your quick answer.
Does the 7SE have the same menu functions as the 2010 such as adding own photos to menu background, and own music to menu? Loathe to buy and find it does not have the features I need.
Many thanks
Sarah

Yes you can add photos and your own music to the menus with MovieFactory Pro 7.
Our members tend to view DVD Factory 2010 as a failed experiment and following pressure from the members of this Web Board Corel reverted to the tried and trusted authoring system contained in MovieFactory Pro 7.
It is a more user friendly interface which we have been using for several years.
I am sure you will be pleased with it.

Many thanks for the advice. I have gone ahead and bought the Pro 7. (already have an editing software on my computer, so felt that going for the whole package would take up too much space).
