Movie Factory 7 SE

Post by Rich2Putt »

Recently purchased the box version of Pro X3. The free MF7 SE does not download when I click on the download link.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rich

Did you register your X3? You have to do that first.

Yes, I did register. When I registered, the link did come up to download MF7 SE. When I clicked on the link, I was distracted during the download & afterwards I could no locate the file on my PC.

I'll try to re-register this evening & see if that will work.

Hello Rich2Putt,

I'm Abiel from Corel Support, if you cannot download the DVD Movie Factory 7 Se, I suggest that you contact the Corel Support, so that they can verify if the registration was completed and they also provide you the direct link to download the program.

You can find the number to reach the Corel Support from this link or if you can contact the Corel Chat Support they can also help you with your concern.

Hi Steve,

I clicked on the attached link & downloaded X3 Service Pack.

I then re-booted, opened Pro X3, clicked on "share" / "create disk" & only found DVD Pro Factory 2010 was indicated. No Movie Factory 7 SE :( :( :(

Two things:

First. Please use this address to log into this Web Board:
http://forum.corel.com/EN/index.php
You have been logging into the old address http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN - though it still "works" it WILL cause you problems.

Second: Regarding the issue you have with MovieFactory 7 SE
Do you already have a version of MovieFactory installed on your computer?
The SE version is a "Simple Edition" and not as good as a "Full Version".
The software checks to see if you do already have a full version installed on your computer and if so it will not install the SE version. If it did you would be very angry at the loss of functionality caused by the SE version replacing your existing FULL version.

If you do have the full version of DVD MovieFactory it should show up in your menu choices of Create Disc. For example I have the full version of DVD MovieFactory 7 Pro, not the SE version. In my menu choice it shows up as DVD MovieFactory 7SE. When I select it, it will launch my full version of DVD MF 7 Pro. This menu choice is added when you install the service pack mentioned by Steve.

I have several older versions of DVD MovieFactory installed on my XP machine, and the menu option is specific to the 7 Pro version, not any earlier ones.

Ron & Steve,

Now using the new link to this web site. Didn't know one existed.

No, I do not have MF7 Pro. Where would MF7 SE live on my hard drive?

Many Thanks

I don't have the SE version, since I already had the Pro version, so I don't know where Corel installs it to. I would start looking in the Corel folders, under the Program files.

Yes but.... do you have ANY version of MovieFactory installed (DMF4 / DMF5 / DMF6 etc.)

Please move the following from your signature to your user profile: (Also complete the remaining user profile fields)

Windows 7
2.5gb RAM

Do you have any firewall software running?
If so try turning the firewall off and install the service pack again.

Hi Steve,

Profile updated.

I completed a search & found several DMF_TEMP but none with the number 2/3/4 following DMF.
