Corel Pathetic support with QT error

Post by skyml »

Had a project in VSPro X3 SP1 crash over a month and a half ago that was making little sense so contacted Corel Tech support (what a nightmare that was). Surprisingly I got a response that told me the error was related to Quicktime 7.6 and that the development team was aware of the problem and that the TEMP fix was to uninstall quicktime 7.6 and install 7.5. This was all over a month ago and no FIX has surfaced. Contacted tech support again regarding this issue and a possible fix and was told

"We would like to inform you that any information as to when an update patch or newer version will be released is only available to our development team and marketing managers. However, if an update patch or a newer version is released, they will immediately post it on our website so we advise you to check it on a regular basis."

I got no further response from Corel.... this is pathetic!

Does anyone here have any good news on this issue?

The general fix for QT issues is to revert to an ealier version. That has been discussed on this forum many times. The good news is that usually fixes the problem.
