Help? Corel ProX3 Library Loads Every Image
Hello. Was hoping someone could help me. I am using Ulead Video ProX3 to make a movie. I am using video clips and photos. The library loads EVERY SINGLE Photo individually even though they are in folders in windows media center. It takes FOREVER to load all the images I don't need. Then the scroll up and down arrow is uncontrollable and it flies past the photos I want to add as it will not respond slowly. Do I have to RESORT all my photos into new folders in Ulead? YIPES!!!! Frustrating. I would really appreciate any advice since I have been struggling with this. Trying to learn and make some family videos.

Re: Help? Corel ProX3 Library Loads Every Image
Welcome to the forums,
This happens with the Windows Media Library. There's no way to disable it, just avoid it. Create your own Libraries, and then load your video, images, audio into those. When creating Libraries, (which is done by selecting Library Organizer at the bottom of the Organizer/Library menu, then New), I provide a name that depicts the project I'm going to be working on. For example if I'm going to work on a family Thanksgiving, I'll name it accordingly. Then import all my video clips into it, and do the same for any images/photos, and special audio. Then when I'm finished with my project, I just delete the Library.

Well thank you for your quick reply and I will try to create those new libraries tonight. I like this program but little things drive me crazy and I end up walking away from my projects in frustration. As they say... nothing is more insane than doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Hi
Have you considered importing your video clips directly to the timeline rather than using the library.?

Just cut and paste? Will try it. Thanks for the tip. Sometimes I overlook the obvious and get in a repetitive loop!

Cut and Paste??? Not sure I'm following where you came up with that? Right-click on the main video track and select Insert Video.huselton1 wrote:Just cut and paste? Will try it. Thanks for the tip. Sometimes I overlook the obvious and get in a repetitive loop!

I think Tevor's advice on importing straight to the timeline was interpreted as cutting and pasting.
No, above the timeline is an icon which allows you to import clips from a folder in Windows directly to your timeline, without the need to import them into the VS library first.

LOL Well I figured that one out quickly after I tried to "cut and paste" and it didn't work!!! Didn't think it would be that simple.....
