Feedback for corel

Post by jukka »

I'm using corel as every-day for creating graphics and adjusting my photos.
I really like the app and specially it's new features like organizer capeture editing. That saves hours of work!

But because I use this app alot I like to post questions and feedback. Some of them are perhaps lack of studying.
I hope you make new patch and fix these:

1. EXPRESS LAB
when opening image, adjusting it and save + close. The bottom line thumbnails returns to beginning. Really annoying if you manually edit > 400 photos that are on the same folder. Make it to remember and select last edited / opened photo

2. Same thing. When you close the picture it actually does not close but is open if u change to full editor. Also every photo you closed in express lab are opened in full editor. I think this eats ram alot if u edit 30 pictures ! Can this be changed or somehow other make as optional ?

3. FULL EDITOR
HDR-Merge works like a charm! But how to get photos into it sucks!
A. Browse.. Does not remember the last folder you opened (if app is closed)
B. Browe.. window sucks. You cannot resize it
C. No drag and drop! I have 2 monitors and best way would be to drag & drop the images into hdr-tool.
D. Organizer should also allow to select 2-6 pictures and right click ->HDR-Merge !

4. Curves crashed alot with x2. Sometimes also with x3

5. New tools carver and remover are useless. For example if you photo a car that should be easily extracted it fails to do any recent job. Also why it is like separate app and not just a tool like smart lasso.
Please look smart lasso tool from photoshop and make similiar.

Please do not delete this but take it into consideration.

I do not think any of us would want to delete your post jukka - as long as your comments and critiscms are made in a calm and controlled manner without unnecessary unacceptable language you are allowed to express them - HOWEVER - you should be aware of the title of these forums - "User to User" which means that apart from a couple of exceptions all of us on here are just users trying to help each other and do not have regular direct contact with the development staff at Corel so a post on here will not necessarily get to Corel..

I am afraid I did delete your other identical post in another topic - not because of what it said, but because it was an exact copy of the one above - please do not duplicate postings - once is enough - any body interested in it will find them.

Hello jukka,

I'm Abiel from Corel Support and I can see that you like using PaintShop Pro and also PhotoShop. I already sent your feedback to my manager and they'll be looking into your concern. You have some great suggestions that I think its worth adding them to future versions of PaintShop Pro. However if you are experiencing problems with your program, you can also access your KB or you may want to make sure that you have an updated software, since more of the problem with the program are resolved when you update it.

You can click here to download all the updates for the program.

If you like to learn more about PaintShop Pro, you can visit the Video and Online Tutorials.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply. I did not get reply earlier using the feedback. And the fb form was somehow working incorrect.

I know that PSP is super cheap and due to that it does not need to be as good as photoshop.

I have been using psp long time and would not like to change to any other program. I think its easier to use than ps.
I hope these feedback will be taken in consideration to make the psp even better. The point is that all the features are useful, but small errors in the design makes them bad.

I had pressed the psp button "check for updates" Always says none.
So did not know about the SP2 or SP1

It seems that SP2 had one of my questions listed:
--HDR available in the Organizer
But after updating found out that it was just an added menu. Not being able to select 3 pics from organizer and start to hdr merge them!

Tiny help is also if I select multiple photos and press express lab. They are open in the bottom so I can process each one separately and easily.
Of course the part that suggested that if you edit 1 pic in express, the navigation of organizer would remember the last selected photo and scroll the panel to it's position after closing the signle pic editing would be "must have" feature..
