poor audio on both vs7se and mf3se

Recently my sound quality after capture became very poor, garbled and weak.

Sound is fine prior to and during capture but bad on playback on both ms3se and vs7se.

Sound is fine in all other applications.

I have captured many videos with the current setup, so problem is recent and have no idea what caused it.

I was going to reinstall mf3 but tried vs7 and got same garbled audio after capture. Since both programs have the same problems, figured there is probably a common problem which you on the forum may have seen.

My system:
Wintv go for capture (updated with latest drivers)
Creative sb live sound card
win xp

I have tried capture through my vcr and line in and also directly from the wintv card tuner and same problem in both programs.

any help appreciated.

Check to see what channel the software mixer is set to record on.
The record setting can be different then the monitor/input setting.

Also Creative has that "What You Hear" channel that is a known problem.
Stay away from selecting that channel.
