No.Do we know why this is and is there a fix, other than moving the offending clip physically up to the top?

Hi sherman39
Video Studio does have a problem inserting clips in the correct order.
The last version to work correctly was probably VS 9.
It really depends on the type of clip and the process you use to insert the clip, images being particularly bad. Most of the time it will be ok, but you will get caught out……..
If you load images to the library or timeline the first and last clip will be swapped over. Not a problem when you are aware.
If you Drag and Drop images from windows explorer they will be in order, provided you drag the first selected clip.
Loading Video clips gives you an additional window allowing you to change the sequence, which does help.
Bulk Re-Name, good program which not only re-names but can modify the file names, a little complicated to use, but with a little practice…………
If you want a simple batch re-name just use Windows Explorer.
Ctrl+A will select all
Right Click first selected clip and re-name
All clips will be renamed adding a suffix number. Example …. Images(1).jpg
Video Studio uses a date numbering sequence for naming its captured files, each clip having a suffix number, except the first, this format has been with Video Studio since time began, its about time they provided a custom option.
