When I want to burn using the blu ray burner 7SE will not let me highlight Create Disc image. Also and probably most important and why I have burned 2 blu ray coasters is under the more blu ray options (the little disc in the bottom left hand corner of stage 3) will not let me highlight Buffer Underrun protection. This is the exact wording of the error I have gotten twice before while attempting blu ray burn. Does anyone know what I a doing wrong or have any suggestion. I am so close to completing this project.. Also it will not let me select a write speed of the blu ray burner. It is always set to maximum. Anyone?
Did you try creating a Bluray Folder as mentioned earlier,if this process is sucessful then we can assume there is no problem with rendering.

Created the Blu Ray folder. It said it was succesful. The folder had several different files. When I clicked on the main movie only about half was there. I really think the problem might be the Buffer Underrun button that is grayed out in the Blu Ray authoring. I authored a DVD in the same drive today no issues. The disc burned in about 8 min. When I entered the DVD in the same drive I could check the buffer underrun button. My research on this keeps the dis from getting to far in front of the buffer that is provided to the drive from 7SE. I know for a fact that my Quad core I7 can handle this. I have plenty of hard drive space. Both drives spin faster then 7500rpm and I have 6 gb of memory. I checked on my lite on blu ray burner and it specifies that it has buffer underrun protection. I believe this to be true because of the DVD authoring. I have seen this problem on other reviews. Does anyone no a go around or a patch fix. Also why doesn't 7SE allow me to change the write speed from MAX to something lower.

Hi

The Buffer Under-run is related to the actual burner.
When you created the Blu Ray folder you didn’t use the burner, just the software to create the folder.
If the folder content is not complete then the problem is with the project and the way its converted/rendered….. not the burner.
You should investigate why the files are not complete.
The actual files --- MTS files are saved to the Stream folder within BDMV

Are you sure some of the movie content is missing.?
Are you able to play the folders content on your pc?

As far as I know once you have created the folder you should be able to burn it to a disc as a data file and it will play in a DVD player.

I can find the blu ray file in my pc. It is broken down into the trailer part and the movie part. Then it gives me several different folders of the menus. I can play the movie it lasts for about 25 min then ends leaving abour 37 minutes left. I can watch my rendered file find on PC and have even watched through a portable hard drive on my home theater. The problem has to be with Movie Factory 7SE. Like I said the DVD burn came out fine. I don;t think the software is giving information fast enough to the burner. Corel support is bad. Expected wait time 1 min. On hold for over hour. Really think twice before I buy another Corel product.

No one here -- (well, one, recently, a guy called Abiel) -- works for Corel. So posting bits of dump files means absolutely nothing to anyone (although I wonder about Abiel...)!!

You might have fixed your crashing problem by now but I was having the same problem with huge video files captured from my Canon CMOS HD camera, and tonight figured out if I "stop capture" into shorter length clips I am not having crashing with VSX3 or problem of in the middle of a long clip the video goes black but the audio stays on. I almost gave up but now I'm able to finish a project that is about an hour long using 4-6 minute clips instead of one long one.

Unfortunately, my finished clip is only 1 min 36 sec long. It was made from about a dozen longer clips, but I trimmed them, added transitions and a couple of effects as a demo for a very short (2 evenings, over now) video class I was taking.

Hi MSP-Driver

Sorry for the delay in replying, your BluRay folder should be called BDMV.
You should be able to play this folder and the entire content as a DVD using your PC....That is the whole DVD will play menu’s and all.

If you do not have a media player that well do this, I used the VLC media player.
Start the media player then Media - Open Folder—browse for the BDMV folder.

If the folder plays as ok then the rendering process is working ok.

As mentioned earlier the BDMV folder can now be burned to disc as a data file/folder and should play ok. If this fails then the problem lies with your burner process/disc compatibility not Movie Factory.
