PSPX3 photos lost title bar

Post by Marisa »

Hello to everybody!
I'm new in the forum. I have arrived here because I could not find any help in FAQ of Corel.
I was quite familiar with PSPX2 in WIndows XP.
I have a new computer with Windows 7.
I have just purchased PSPX3.
I had some little problems to install it, but then I managed.
Today the program got stuck and frozen.
I uninstalled it and then installed it again, more or less it seems to work, even though all the plug-in have disappeared, but the main problems is that when I open a photo to work on it there is not the title bar anymore, so I cannot move the photo window and I cannot close it by the X in the corner, since there is no bar and no x.
The buttons “fit image and window to screen” and “fit window to image” are not active.
Please could anyone help me?
Thank you in advance
Marisa

“Tabbed documents” was checked, I unchecked it and the title bar reappeared…
Thank you!
I don’t know why it got checked, I confess I had no idea what it could mean either.
Thank you so much

With most recent versions of X3 tabbed documents is the default setting. So that's probably what has happened.

Tabbed Documents uses a tabbed interface (similar to most web-browsers these days) where it places the name and size percentage in a tab title-bar near the top. The close button is on your right-hand side hidden in the black murkiness of the UI because the X is also black. Go figure that color scheme.

It's just a different way of presenting the images. Nice if you want to remove the ugly blue bar of the Windows MDI interface. And to unclutter the background. I personally like them. But they offer both because it's nicer that way. At least I hope they keep offering both. I'd hate to have them go full tabs with the next version.
