Convert DVD to MPEG-4

Post by cadolfan »

Hi I'm a recovering Roxio user. 6 years. Finally fed up with 2011 crashing everytime I tried to convert DVD to MPEG4
Which brings me here. I just downloaded VS Pro X3 and I'm trying to figure out how to do this. I'm assuming it can be done on this program. Thanks for you help.

Hello and welcome.

Assuming the DVD is not copyright or have any protection on it.

Open up VideoStudio and put your DVD in your DVD drive. (cancel any autorun offers)

In VideoStudio RIGHT click over the timeline and choose 'Import Digital Media' from the fly out. - if not already selected browse to your DVD drive - click 'Import' - in the next window ensure you check all videos to be imported - click import - video is transferred to timeline.

You can if you wish edit your video at this point - if not click on 'Share' tab at top and about half way down right of preview screen choose ''Create Video File" - from the fly out select your mpeg4 option (numerous - I have 12) - then select save location and name - click save.
