Hi, my first post -
I have Videostudio V8. I have a JVC CamCorder which has a Bullet cam and Mike connected to it. I recorded some footage using my AV connection to drive the Bullet Cam and ran it over the TV - Everything is good, picture quality and Audio.
However, when I connect the Camcorder to the PC via my firewire connection I capture video and I assume the Audio is there but for the life of me I cannt get it to play.
I know its there although only on a single channel as the mike is mono, because I can see the Audio display moving up and down, however no noise.
I have tried splitting the audio out and somehow have managed to got some sound but as soon as I select run clip or project I loose the sound and am unable to play it again.
This is DV and AVI capture so I understand the video and audio channels are intertwined but I am at a loss as to how I get it to play. i have tried saving the filw and playing on a player - good video, no audio.
Frustrated - can anyone help??????

Trevor,
I have tried both Type 1 and Type 2.
In a previous life I plugged the firewire cable into the Camera, hit capture, edit, save and hey presto it all seemed to work fine.
8 months on, a new camera (both MiniDV) same software, re-installed and it isnt quite that easy.
The sound is defintely there on 1 channel, i can see it running and at times get it running. what i cannot so is get it to save in a file and then play.
However under Mpeg 2 it all works fine.
