Thanks for your link. Sometimes there are blips (one extra frame) AFTER a transition or BEFORE an inserted text, but I assume this is not the same problem. Every clip has this effect at the start of the clip. I think Corel has to solve the 'problems', it is not a mistake by user.

Tested in other editing (trial) software the error doesn't occur, but I prefer VideoStudio and bought that product ...
I've got an update of the fail issue: I bought a new computer. Specs: Intel i7-2600 3,4GHz, 6GB RAM, 2x SATA 1TB, NVidia 2GB dedicated, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits.

The error still remains. Each recording starts with two extra identical first frames with Panasonic AVCHD files, so the sequence is A-A-A-B-C-D-E-etc. Didn't anyone else with a Panasonic AVCHD camera complain? It feels like I'm the only one, but I can reproduce the issue at several computers and Windows-versions. :?

I feel sorry I can't find any time to make a phonecall to Corel or spend time behind my computer at the moment.

I'm afraid the problem with the two extra frozen frames af the beginning of each AVCHD file from a Panasonic camera isn't solved: even X4 is producing the same problem. Only with Corel VideoStudio ...

I like working with the program because it is easy to use, but want to reïnstal it now.

I'm very disappointed. I had bought version X3 and experienced problem with two extra frames at the beginning of each clip of my Panasonic AVCHD camera: three similar frames so each clip start loops frozen for a fraction of a second. Now in version X5 the problem is still there!! This error only occurs with Corel VideoStudio, other programs don't have this problem. I liked working with VSX3, my new program doesn't work the way VS does ...
