Hi Everyone,
My 1st post and apologies if this subject has been covered....but i just cant find it!
I am a new user of Corel VS Pro X3 and am using it mainly for slide shows because of the smooth blending transitions, titles and mainly music mixing capabilities
All the pictures i take are around 3264 x 2448 and about 4Mb and they come out very small on the projects (large black borders all around or top and bottom or side borders)
When i used Windows Movie Maker (before i upgraded from Vista to Win 7) for making slide shows, the pics filled the whole screen
My Vaio is only 13 inch screen and the pics show ridiculously small!!!
Any suggestions on playing back or recording or setting the project in a way to fill the screen with the pictures?
Thanks in advance
Carlos

Hi Carlos
Welcome to the forum.
Video is either widescreen 16:9 or standard 4:3.
To fill the screen with your image has to use one of these ratios.
Your Project Properties should be altered to reflect the ratio you are using, I assume it will be 4:3. (Settings-Project Properties-Edit-General tab) this option can be set to default from the Start Up screen.
From Settings-Preferences- change the background to another colour, this will allow you to identify the video frame.
Your images are 3264 x 2448 and are 4:3 ratio, so using a project as 4:3 will fill the screen.
If you intend using widescreen 16:9 then the image will sit in the centre but have black/coloured border left and right.
If you are showing borders you may want to change the background to black before rendering the slide show.

Re: Images too small
Hi Trevor,
Nothing worked
Tried everything but never got to fill the screen!
However, i found out that it is all due to my screen resolution not being on a ration of 4:3
My screen is set at 1280 x 800 (best and recommended setting)
If i change it to 1024 x 768 it is ok, but the sharpness sucks so i will live with smaller pics!
Pitty thou!
Corel maybe should offer more resolutions aimed at slide shows since there is the possibility to produce excellent slide shows!
Thanks anyway
Regards
