Paintshop photo Pro X3 installation disc empty??

Post by Kelly2684 »

I just bought PaintShop Photo Pro X3. I put the installation disc in my disc drive to install it and nothing happens. So i go to my computer to open up my d Drive to get the setup file to install the program and it shows that there are no programs on the disc. I have a HP Compaq desktop computer with Windows XP Home Service pack 3,
It has a Intel Pentium 4 processor 3.00 Ghz, 2 GB of RAM, and 80 GB harddrive, i have intel Extreme graphics and sound max for video and sound. I have Corel wordperfect installed on my computer but i don't have any other corel products installed. So my question is why does my computer show the installation disc as empty? / Why can't i install this program? Help Help Help PLEASE!!!!!!

Do you have another computer you could put the disk into to verify that it is indeed empty? The reason why I ask is that you've got to rule out the possibility that you have a computer/drive problem and not a disk problem. If you have a disk problem then nothing anyone can do will fix that disk aside from a replacement from Corel.

You can also load the try before you buy software from Corel's site proper. Contact Corel, but I'm sure you can use the software key that you bought on the TBYB software. I'd still get that disk replaced so if you want to reinstall sometime you can actually do that.

Yes the disc is actually empty i have laptop that i put the disc into as well and it shows nothing. I also had a friend give me a disc that had a program on it to see if my computer would let me install it and it worked fine. So i guess my only option is to wait until the customer support people at Corel are back from their "holiday", and request a new disc? Thanks for your help!

Hello Kelly,

I'm Abiel from Corel Support. If the PSP X3 that you bought is a blank disc, then you can request a replacement disc by calling the Corel Support from the number posted here, so that they can validate the disc it is indeed you got a blank disc. If it is a blank disc, then they will immediately request and send the replacement disc.

The replacement will only be valid if you purchased the program directly from Corel.com and if you got it from a reseller the agent that will be talking to you will advise you on the things that you need to in order to get a replacement.

Hope that helps.
