cannot control burn speed

In the past I always set it for 4x to make sure I got a good burn as I am in no hurry. Now with upgrade to X3 when I make a disk I cannot access this dropdown to set the speed, it remains by unchangeable default on fastest speed. Any tips? thx

Using DVD Movie Factory 7SE burning facility
I recently purchased the product
I do not have control over the burning speed and it does create problems for me
Unless I did not read properly the forum ,is there a fix or a patch that can be downloaded
