I have used X2 for a couple years, but recently bought a new PC with Windows 7. I finished a project (successfully), then after finding and downloading the Windows 7 patches, I was able to burn the project. However, at some point roughly 5 minutes in, all the audio is ahead of the video by about a half a second, and remains that way for the remainder of the project. Watching the project in X2, it works fine, so it is a burn issue. I tried normalizing audio, but that doesn't help. It just seems like a software glitch.
Has anyone else had this problem, or can think of a solution?

Hi
After editing your project you have two options in burning a disc.
1 / Share Create Disc, this literally adds the project to the burner module.
The project is rendered to a Mpeg2 file prior to burning the disc. (Convert Title)
If this approach causes problems then use the next option
2 / Share Create Video File-DVD this will create a Mpeg2 file.
Play this video file on the pc to check quality and audio out of sync’ issues
All ok
Start a new project-Share Create Disc-Add Video, adding the file made earlier.
Create the menu.
There is no further rendering of the main video, no Convert Title.
Your disc will be burned using the Mpeg2 file.
Knowing the details/properties of your original video will allow us to recommend settings for creating the Mpeg2 file.

Re: X2 & Windows 7 - audio out of sync
Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up creating a separate video and file file, and combining the two into a new project. When I did that, the project played back with the out-of-sync issue the same way that it did after buring (but not while previewing). I was then able to snip a half second or so of the audio out and resync the project. It was a perfect solution, but under my time constraints, it sufficed.

Hi
Now I’m confused?
The idea to Share Create Video File is to create a single Mpeg 2 file of the project.
Did this file show any out of sync’ problems.?
Using a new project, empty timeline, Share Create Disc-Add video file. Adding the Mpeg 2 file.
So where did the second one come from.
Why did you combine two into one project.?

Re: X2 & Windows 7 - audio out of sync
I called the Corel help desk and this was their suggestion. When I created separate video and audio files, and combined them, the audio did appear out of sync in the project the same way that it did when I burned the project. Before, it was only out of sync after burning, but not while playing the project in videostudio. With my new file, I was able to snip a portion of the audio and resync it with the video. It wasn't a perfect solution, and I am still unsure what caused the problem in the file, but it worked.
