Unable to Navigate MovieFactory6...Help!

Post by gl_productions »

Hello,

I've authored a menu with eight thumbnail selections (one for each chapter). However, I can only navigate and select from the "preview" menu. There is no cursor present when viewing the menu on any DVD player, so I'm unable to navigate as normally expected. Selecting "show highlight button" only seems to work within preview.

How do I fix this? My client is waiting.

Thank you,

GL

Do you mean a software DVD player on a computer - or a stand alone DVD player connected to a TV ?

If the former - which software are you using to play the DVD - try using the arrow keys to move the highlight.

If the latter - Nearly every DVD menu I have seen - even commercially produced ones do not have a cursor to select scenes/chapters - you simply use the arrow navigation buttons on the remote control to move the highlight to the thumbnail you wish to play and then press play (or OK depending on player)

Any stand alone DVD player

Sorry...I wasn't clear. I meant to say, "the arrow keys did nothing." However, I found the solution on another forum, videohelp.com which pointed me to the MovieFactory 6 Patch 2 which fixed the problem.
