Hi,
Having become extremely frustrated with Cyberlink I have just downloaded the Video Studio X3 Trial and it looks good apart from;.
My main requirement is to create home videos using a mix of input, Digital photos on my PC as jpegs and Video from a Sony HDR-SR5 handycam, the videos are copied directly from the camera on to my hard disk as .m2ts files and are HD 1440x1080, the properties from within VideoStudioPro shows them as: H.264 Video, Upper Field First, 24 bits, 1440x1080, 16:9 at 25 frames/sec with Variable bit rate with Dolby Digital Audio 48000Hz, 5.1 channels Layer:none Bit Rate 448 kbps.
My System Spec is XP Pro meeting minimum spec, 1x DVD Writer, 1x LG GGW-H20L Blu Ray/DVD Writer
I want to create a blu ray disk (trying to create on a blank BD-RE) but can find no way to do so.
I am very PC Literate but please do not ask me what H264 Video Upper field first is, I have an HD TV, HD Camcorder, Blue Ray Writer and Blu Ray Player connected to the TV.
FIrst Problems - In the help it says on startup I should get a startup screen with options of the VideoStudio Pro Launcher - I don't so I am assuming I am in advanced Edit as this looks like the screen shots in other areas of the help and the preview screen is widescreen format.
In the Project Template Properties the Edit File Format gives me 2 options MPEG or Microsoft AVI, it is set to MPEG Files, but this shows the details as PAL (25 fps)
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-PAL), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 6000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 3/2(L,C,R,SL,SR)
I would have thought this would be a higher resolution, however if I click Edit on the General Tab for Frame Size I cannot change the Frame Size and the highest resolution is selected. (I am not sure if this has anything to do with the problem as there is no mention of any details in the help files).
I have edited the video and clicked Share and Create Disc
Corel DVD Factory 2010 opens at the Create Video Disc page.
Select Disc: is not selectable and comes up as DVD
Project Format gives me the choices of DVD-Video or AVCHD No blu-Ray Support at all.
If I Select AVCHD and go to menu editing
I get a 50 50 split of Corel DVD Factory 2010 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. window, debug info is instruction at 0x0 referenced memory at 0x0,
Or The next screen shows Disc Type as BD-RE(Invalid disc) but shows Space Available 22.6 GB Space Required 1.2Gb Selecting Burn gives Please insert a blank DVD disc in the burner drive menu. Selecting OK ejects the disc.
If I select DVD-Video
The next screen shows Disc Type as BD-RE(Invalid disc) but shows Space Available 22.6 GB Space Required 622.7MB Selecting Burn gives Please insert a blank DVD disc in the burner drive menu. Selecting OK ejects the disc.
The Help for Corel DVD factory is pretty much useless as things like "In the Action Bar, click Create" don't apply as there is no action bar and no option of click Create, I am assuming that the version I have is a severely cut down version just to go with Video Studio.
But then the Video Studio help is pretty much useless as well (Try searching for the File Menu option of "Recover DVB-T Video" the answer is "(no results)" This is a File Menu Option, I don't know what it is or does, apparently neither does anyone else)
This is as far as I can get, Any Ideas????
