Opening .jpg files

Post by wmcook »

Currently evertime I open a .jpg file it opens in SnapFire. How do I get it to open in Print Shop Pro?
Do I need to remove the SnapFire program I do not use it.

Open Windows 7 Control Panel and select 'Default Programs. Then select 'Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program'. The window will fill with all the various file extensions on your computer. Scroll down to .jpg, where you will see it is associated with SnapFire. Up towards the top right of that window, click on the Change Program button, and a new dialogue box will appear with a number of icons in it of programs which could open a jpg file. Hopefully the PSP icon will be there. If it is, simply select that icon and click the OK button. If the PSP icon is not there, click on the Browse button and go to where your PSP program file .exe is located and select that. Then click OK. From now on, PSP should open all your jpg files.

Thank you. I had to browse to find it, but it is working great now.
What would happen if I removed the StarFire program from my commuter?
Would it make some photos disappear or become unavailable?

No snapfire is just a photo organizer, You'll lose its database but that doesn't mean anything.
