VS9 - problem with PAL/NTSC settings after installation...

Post by bono »

Hi,

I have installed the trial version of VS9 and during the installation I checked for the PAL system. But whenever I create a new project it is set to NTSC system. I always need to EDIT and re-set to PAL... :(

I reinstalled the program and I tried under the installation procedure to choose my country (where PAL is used) but the same problem occoured.

So this settings (under installation) has no effect at all.

Does the full version of VS9 have the same bug or it is fixed in there? Or what can You suggest to me? Will there be a patch for this bug?

Is there a possibility where I can change system settings to PAL once and forewer?

Please help me....

Best Regards,
bono.

Could be your lucky day bono. I had a very similar sounding problem last week. Wasted a good few hours scratching my head until I sorted it. See here -> http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=3857

hello Artgar,

thanks for trying to help me... I checked your topic, but unfortunately my problem is not based on my camera.

The bug occours, even before I connect my device to the computer. Simply I start VideoStudi9 click on new project and the default is NTSC instead of PAL. Each time I need manually to edit the project preferences and change to PAL.

In my case I am not using camera, I just want to add some videos and photos to make a new project from them. And before I add any video... so only a blank project I have, NTSC is waiting for me.... :(

This bug occoured earlier with my VS7 SE after I added the 7.01 patch to it. Before it was perfect (PAL), after it was/is NTSC. I uninstalled the whole VS7 and then I intalled the new 9 trial version. The problem is still there. (http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... t=ntsc+pal)

Probably I will reinstall my whole XP system again :( and then I will check this again...

I thought maybe someone else has the same problem, so that I might avoid to reinstallation of my whole system...

Thanks anyway.

NTSC/PAL Problem

Had the same problem with Magix Video Deluxe. The fix is to change the computers default language. Go to Control Panel - Regional and Language Options.
Set the appropriate language for your location i.e English (UK) for PAL, English (US) for NTSC).
Hope that helps - it did for me.

hi,

I checked my language settings, and my computer is set to my country's area in Europe (Hungary-PAL).

Hi again bono,
No new suggestions, but following on from jbloor, I have done some server support in the past and we have had problems where we had to change the date format/zone to something else, save, then switch back to the correct local settings. It's a long shot, but worth a try.

Hello,

Finally I had enough time to format my hdd and to install again everything. Unfortunately VS9 Trial is still in NTSC format whenever I click on new project.

Does anybody use VS9 on PAL system and work fine and/or the problem is only with me/my system?
