Field Order Error - Can it be saved?

Post by PeterK2 »

I know what I have done wrong. I was capturing DV, changed to analogue capture and forgot to change the field order.

I have rendered some videos to AVI prior to archiving and converting to DVD. I have some shots taken from a moving car and they are unwatchable but slow scenes look OK in AVI.

I have done a search and read all the relevant posts I could find. There were lots of comments on what not to do but nothing that I could find on how to fix it, apart, by inference, of starting again.

Is it possible to fix or is starting again the only option. I don't really want to junk 3 weeks work. Cutting out the fast moving scenes is another option that I would like to avoid if I can.

Thanks
Peter

Download VirtualDub, and use the Field Swap filter.

All fixed thanks. I converted the original captured video, relinked the vsp files and everything looked good.
