Brand new computer, but even using belarc I could not figure out which video card or sound card it has. Maybe its an integrated video card.
Anyway with a JVC GZ-MS120 plugged in via USB, The Corel program says no camera detected. I uploaded both of the window 7 patches from the corel site.

The capture option if for tape based cameras... all hard drive or DVD or CD card based cameras consider your camera as a external harddrive. In these cases you don't capture but simply plug in and transfer from your camera to the PC

with the camera connected to your computer and switched on make sure you are in 'Edit' mode then right click on the timeline and choose 'Insert Video' and then browse to a 'removable' drive which will be your camera - select the videos in your camera - click 'open' and your video will appear in the timeline.
I actually prefer to copy the videos using Windows explorer from the 'removable drive' to my hard drive first and then use the 'insert video' from there - that way I know the file is on my hard drive which makes subsequent operations much quicker and easier. - just use drag and drop from removable drive to hard drive.
