PSP Pro X3 stops working - 64 bit machine
Thanks for reading this! I recently purchased the PSP Pro X3, am running it on a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit desktop, and more often than not, PSP will generate the "stopped working - look for a solution window, at which time I close the window and restart the application. It has happened using the "Express" and "Full" editors.

Re: PSP Pro X3 stops working - 64 bit machine
I have recently moved from a 32 bit Vista machine to a Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium one.
Although I used to get the "stopped working" screen occasionaly before, I do not do so now.
I suspect it is caused for you by the MediaCataloger recording images for its ImageDB database and hogging the PC.
Are there particular circumstances when you get it?

First thing to do is to check to see if you've downloaded the patches. That's cleared up some stability issues.
If MediaCataloger kills PSP before you can check for patches you can end that process by hitting Ctrl+Shift+Esc, select the Processes tab, scroll down to MediaCataloger and right click and end process.

DF is correct, I am using Win 7 (64bit) as well and I was experiencing stability problem before, after updating the program it fixes the problem.
You can check the build/version number by clicking on HELP > ABOUT then check the version number.
If you have 13.0.0 > Download all updates from the link below starting with SP1 then SP2
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 9872271743
If you have 13.0.0.253, that means you have installed SP1 already, so you just need to download the SP2

Hello bewitched9,
If the problem still persists, then you may need to perform a clean install of the program. You can follow these below. I suggest that you follow these steps from this link.
Then reinstall the program by redownloading it from your corel account or using the disc then after reinstalling the program, I suggest that you download all updates before you use the program. You can download and install the update from this link, starting from service pack 1 then service pack 2.
If the problem persists, then I would suggest that you contact the Corel Support posted from this link.
