White background changes to grey with Mpeg

Hi

I am using MSP7 and am creating a simple video with a white background and black text on it, but each time I export it the video appears to have a grey background when played on a PC.
The curious thing is that if I insert the exported video back into MSP it appears white in MSP.
Can anyone tell me why this happens? Is there any way around this?
