I don't think there is such a thing as a Blu-Ray ISO file -- that relates specifically to SD DVDs... However, as far as I am aware MF 7 SE will create a Blu-Ray folder, which is roughly equivalent, and will certainly allow you to burn a Blu-Ray disc with some other software, if that is what you are trying to do...

Of course there is a ISO Blu ray file format, because my popcorn eye could play blu-ray ISO file as well as blu ray directory format.

Fine. I've learned something. But if you are after something that will play back on your "popcorn eye" -- whatever that is -- and it can play a BD directory format, why not use that option in MF 7. (And I have now checked and it is available and enabled, at least on my set up.)

Now having looked into it, I have found through a simple Google search that you can make a BD ISO using ImgBurn 2.4.2.0 using folder -> ISO image file option. And you choose the UDF 2.5 option. Nero also apparently can make such an ISO file...

Popcorn hour (sorry not eye should be hour) is a device which could play commercial Blu ray disc as well as all HD rips format from Harddisk and network.

I must have not installed DMF7SE properly, my X3 does not show DMF7SE and my ISO is greyed out for Blu-ray discs.

We are starting to get confused here.... Thanks for the correction re popcorn eye, as the only thing I was aware of was the popcorn hour...

Mf 7 SE if correctly installed, should show up under the Tools menu in the top left of the X3 screen, along with DVD Factory 2010...

And I agree that the ISO option is greyed out. My point, though, was that the Blu-Ray Folders (including the all-important STREAM sub-folder, which contains the high def video) is still enabled.

It is strange my popcorn hour shows my finished BD as AVCHD.
Why is that strange? The international BD standard allows output in either AVCHD (with Upper Field First) or HD mpeg-2 using Lower Field First...
