UMF 6 Plus Frame rate
In Project Settings under Frame Rate is a button to manually adjust the Frame Rate but it's greyed out (included screenshot) and can't be accessed and my best choice of four options in Standard is 720 x 480, how do I access it? Also, just curious but what engine does UMF use now to encode, thought it was MainConcept years ago? Thankyou

Re: UMF 6 Plus Frame rate
DVD MF is a DVD authoring program, with some editing capabilities. So the primary file format for standard def video files is MPEG-2. The frame rate for DVD compliant MPEG-2 must remain at 29.97 for NTSC, and 25 for PAL. The drop-down menu above the User Defined provides the only other Frame Sizes that meet the DVD Standards.
If you want to create a video file with some other Frame Rate and some special Frame Sizes, you need to use the Export Selected Clips option, Customize, and change the File type to AVI, QuickTime, or Windows Media Video.
Yes, I think Corel still uses Main Concept..

Re: UMF 6 Plus Frame rate
Thanks but I only use avi and Mainconcept to encode them to mpg with the resolution I choose. For an example, a current avi is a 720 x 288 which can be 720 x 256 (NTSC) (4.3-huge black bars) or 720 x 341 (16.9-smaller letterboxing but still sizeable) so I can fudge that to 720 x 390, maybe more (16.9) with no noticeable stretching, I just thought I might just use UMF but time consuming I see.
