Hi all, I am working in VS8 and using the "Pop Up" title with animation. The title roles up fine, but the last line of any title always disappear quite quickly. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to make the title stay on screen a little longer before it disappears.
I have a fealing VS8 appears to have lost a bit in the control I had over titles in VS7.
Just one more question, I saw on this board the location to go to, to download the extras for VS8. I saved it somewhere but can not find it or the Post on this site it was located in.
All help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Title creation question.

Title creation question.

Hi alanball --
Are you describing the scrolling titles as you see them in editing mode, or on the finished DVD (or just before burning when you get a chance to "play" your MPEG)?
I wouldn't trust anything I see -- trust completely I mean -- until final product. I've noticed the change in scroll speed but it never appeared in the DVDs I've made.

you didn't say if you set the animated title's delay option? VS8 has the ability to create a delay for animated titles. The options are, no delay, short, intermediate or long. If you haven't used this option try the long delay.

Hi Thoff & Erock, thanks for taking the time to reply to my problem. I see your names pop up all the time on this board ansering quires, just great of you to spare the time for us beginers.
Thoff, I tried you suggestion and that worked fine. thanks a bunch.
Erock, I could not find any reference to being able to set the delay for title animation, can you advise where this is located, for future reference?
Thanks again guy's.
One question I asked was the location of the VS8 extra content on the Ulead site, anybody Help? I know a link was pasted into one of the post's but I've searched and can't find that post.

Alan, try this.
With a VSP open, select the frame where you want your title. Click on the Title tab and insert your text. On the left handside of the title options panel, select animation. Directly below you can choose the animation type and presets from the drop down windows. To the right of the type selection you will see a double letter T. Click on this T to open up the animation options. From here you can choose the animation's effects. Take a look at the pause option. This is where you can select if you want the animation to take no pause, short pause or long pause.
To answer your 2nd question about free stuff. Go to the Ulead web site. Under products select video editing then video studio. On the right hand side of the page you will see downloads. Just click on free goodies.
Good luck,
Erock

Thanks Erock, but it looks as though the delay option is'nt available in the POP-UP title option.
The extra content I was looking for was additional content similar to the big down load with VS9 with additonal music and transitions, I remember seeing it but perhaps it was only available when you register the product.
Thanks again,
