Can't add photos to Project Creator

Post by scaryloud »

I'm running Windows 7 x64 and cannot add pictures when I'm trying to make a calander or photo album. I can't drag them over or open my picture folder in the add media screen. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, HOW DID YOU FIX IT???

Personally, I would print snapshots and nail them to the wall on a calendar before I would use Project Creator. I know this doesn't solve your problem, but like the rest of PSPPX3 it is a POS.

I'm sorry, but I don't use Project Creator. There are a string of reported problems with it, so I would suggest that you email Corel support (http://corel.custhelp.com/app/ask), and see if they have a solution.
Keep following up with them if you get a strange, flippant or useless answer.

I disagree that PSPX3 is useless....even the $650 program has scads of detractors, the Project Creator is a bust. There have been numerous posts about this when X3 came out and my recollection is that few people got anything from it. Good luck if you go forward with this program.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

Hello Jaxman,

I'm Abiel from Corel Support. If you are having problem with Project Creator, you can reset the software to its default state by following these steps.

1. Close Corel PaintShop Photo Project Creator.
2. Launch Window Task Manager; to open Windows Task Manager, right-click an empty space on the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
3. In the Windows Task Manager, go to Processes tab.
4. In the Processes tab, make sure that the following Processes are not running on your computer:
- MetadataMgr.exe
- MLEMonitor.exe
- RtDevDetector.exe
5. If any of the above are still running on your system, right-click on each Processes and select End Process or End Process Tree.
6. After making sure that the above processes are no longer running, go to taskbar and click on START >> RUN;
7. In the RUN window, type: %appdata%
8. Hit the enter key to open the Application Data folder.
9. Double-click on Corel folder and then double-click on Digital Studio folder.
10. Delete all the files and folders inside this "Digital Studio" folder.
11. Close this folder and re-launch PaintShop Photo Project Creator.

Hope that helps.
