video studio & expression encoder

Post by bgd73 »

I read that expression encoder was to do away with WME by mid 2010...
wme is going on 11 years old.

happy late 2010. what is expression encoder going to do with future video studio?

I found the vc-1 stuff is not even known by my ati vid card encoder called avivo, nor anyhting else for that matter. the latest Virtual dub is still using the vcm stuff from years back as well.

..and the encoding is hefty. A 4minute video at 1045kbps was 190mb from a decompressed encode. what exactly has microsoft flubbed now? after never getting wme correct, they now steup with silver light, and vc-1.

just curious as to where things are headed. :?:

probably best asked on a micrsoft forum, as this has nothing at all to do with any corel products and any corel product users here are unlikely to know the answers.
