I have a question about the Image Slice tool in PSP XII.
I'm slicing a graphic for a web site and part of the graphic has a face in it. So, I want to save either in JPG or PNG, but when ever I set my Rows/Columns using the grid and set my output for JPG or PNG - however, when I save the first slice saves with my desired output file type but the rest save as GIF.
It doesn't matter how many I try it, it does the same thing.
Any thoughts?

Re: Image Slice
The format, oddly enough, is not for all of the image slices. It's for each individual image slice. So pick each slice and change the format the JPG or PNG as you wish. This is actually quite useful in some circumstances, though obviously not for you.
The other option is to set the format before setting the slices. Again since each slice has its own format setting having the setting set-up before making the slices is always a good idea.

Re: Image Slice
BRILLIANT (or not so much on my end
)
Tested and works. Thanks LeviFiction.
Since there is a face in the graphic, would you suggest JPG or PNG as the better solution?
Thanks again.

Re: Image Slice
I personally say play around with it and decide for yourself. Maybe a knowledgable person will reply but who knows.
JPEG is lossy, it throws away what it considers to be unnecessary pixels based on the compression level of the JPEG optimizer.
PNG is a lossless so it won't throw pixels away.
Both can look just as good as the other as far as the face is concerned based upon the optimization settings you set for the slice. Size might also be a concern.
So if the JPEG format with its lossy compression is smaller and still looks good, you might want to consider that.
Actually here's an article that might help http://www.turnkeylinux.org/blog/png-vs-jpg
