I have been looking to purchase another intermediate level Video Edit programme that includes a 5.1 sound mixer and was expecting the latest release from Adobe After Effects 9 to include this.
As this is a must for my criteria and it is not included in the latest release, I have been looking elsewhere for another programme.
When speaking with a friend in the video edit circles he mentioned "Video Studio Pro X3" has a 5.1 mixer and he had purchased a copy, he invited me to have a look at the programme on his computer.
When speaking with him while viewing the programme he stated he had not used the 5.1 sound at this stage.
He then made a rough video and selected the 5.1 sound option, when the video was played it made horrible noises from the speakers, I thought they would be damaged.
It was changed back to stereo and the sound was very good.
I do not at this time want to download a trial version of Video Studio Pro X3, due to the large file size and then have this same problem happen on my computer.
My question is, "Is there a problem with the 5.1 mixer or have we done something wrong?"
Why this horrible noise from the speakers when 5.1 is selected?
I would appreciate any comments.
