Hi world,
My problem is with jitter occuring when using pan and zooming on stills. I get very slight jumps or jitters when the zoom is happening but not on every one (that I can see anyway).
I'm zooming at various rates so can't quite pick which particular rate is the issue.
I'm in Australia so using PAL.
Project preferences are:
PAL (25 fps)
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Upper Field First
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
Can anyone help?

Re: Jitter with Pan & Zoom on stills - VS Pro3
Is this occurring while previewing in VS, or in a rendered video file from your project? Previewing is not going to be smooth, as VS must throw all your edits together on-the-fly. When you render your project (Share>Create Video File), it should not be jittery. As a test pick a short section of your project that is giving you this jitter on the pan/zooms. Now set a preview range, by pressing the "[" button or press F3 on your keyboard. Then go to the end of the section you want to use for your test, and press the "]" button or press F4 on your keyboard. You should now have an orange line on your time-line. This is the preview range. Now go to Share>Create Video File, Select Same as Project Settings, in the next dialog that opens, press the Options button, and then click the radial button beside Preview Range. VS will now render a video file, of just the preview range you've set up. Once the video file is rendered, play it using whatever software video player you have and see if you're still getting the jitters..

Hi Ron,
This is actually with the rendered video. I can actually see it in both - prior to and post rendering.
It's a bit frustrating as I don't quite know what to fix.
Any ideas?
