Absolutely still love this program. Unfortunate reading the demise of the software. Alas, right on par for Corel. So sorry to see what is going on.. But, this is not a complaint post.. I still use PI 12 for about 90% of my digital art. I have Painter, and all the bells and whistle programs, I always come back to PI for my best work. I started with VS, PI, etc., moved on to Apple, etc., Sony, and all, but, always in my dark room, used PI.. I may even do a "Corel blew it.." video using Video Studio 10 on You tube to point it out.. Woo Hoo.. would that be a blast! Start a "you blew it!" video post on you tube..
PI just so easy and fast.. I get about twice as much done using PI than using painter.. And how old is it?

Re: Hi!
I'm glad to hear you are a fan of PI. It's demise is sad and not a good move for Corel.
I must point out though that there is a vast difference between Painter and PhotoImpact. Painter is not a photographic or graphics program, it is purely painting and a very fine piece of software. However, like most Corel software it has bugs and they never seem to get them fixed before releasing a newer version.
You may like to head over to PIRC where avid PI users hang out and try different tutorials each week.
I mostly use PaintShop Pro these days which contains a lot of programming from Ulead's PI. I honestly think that Corel could not update PI due to its complexity and vast amount of applications, presets, textures etc. etc. it offers. There's never been another program like PI and never will be.
