Photoimpact Album data input

I'm trying to set up a photo album in Photoimpact Album with a large data set of photos and I have Access database files with associated data for each photograph, that I can transfer to Excel and according to the Album manual should be able to import. I've tried importing small subsets of the data from an excel file that I've saved as a text file.. however it's not working. There are multiple types of options to save as a text file, maybe I'm using the wrong one? The pop up box is not allowing me to match fields in input file with field in album either. If anyone can offer further assistance it would be greatly appreciated. The manual doesn't give much help at all, just says refer to the ulead website for further instruction. Thanks!
