edit audio part of video

I just purchased V9. how do I edit the audio portion of a video tape I made.

for example, my wife and I adopted two toddlers in Russia, we taped the trip to Russia, however during the trip we referred to the children with their Russian names, I want to be able to edit th etape and remover their Russian names.

is that possible?

I normally don't refer to the manual, but page 120 has excellent instructions on what you want to do.
