VS Pro X3 - won't load - keeps sending PC to blue screen :(

Post by geordieboi »

Had Video Studio 12 installed for the last year or so and had no problems at all with it.

Spotted VS Pro X3 in a shop at half price last week so bought it and installed it. Appeared to install fine.

Today I've gone to use it for the first time, but as soon as I double clicked the icon, the screen froze, then it threw me to the doomed blue screen of death, with the white text saying that an error had occurred and Windows had been shut down to prevent serious damage.

It then threw up a load of writing about "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and something about "nvstor32.sys address 805C0277 base at 805BE000".

It then did a memory dump and rebooted itself in safe mode.

I've been to Corel's site and downloaded the patches and service packs, but still having the same problem.

Anyone had this happen?

Thanks,
Graeme.

nvstor32.sys is a file used by Nvidia, however we know nothing about your system. Click on the User Control Panel located at the top-left, below Corel Store, and complete your system information for your Profile.

Doing a search on nvstor32.sys found these possibilities

I have been having a similar problem, though it isn't easy to read everything on the BSOD before the computer reboots. I am going to try updating the drivers for the NVidia card, I will be back if I have no success.

I have now tried this fix and it seems to have worked!
